My Journey to Coaching

Like many, maybe you too, I was sceptical about coaching until recently. Back home in Hungary, coaching isn’t a well-respected profession and many think it’s easy and simple to do. It wasn’t until I opened my mind to giving coaching a chance that I realised its true potential.

Throughout my marketing professional career, I’ve been managing teams and mentoring individuals. During my time in the entertainment industry, I went through my first big transition, becoming a mother. After my second daughter was born, I decided to go through another big transition and make my childhood dream come true - I opened my own cake shop in Budapest. I ran the business for 3 years when, due to family reasons, we relocated to Amsterdam and again, I had to find a new purpose.

As I look back at my career path, I realise there is one thing in common throughout my varied career, and that is coaching. In every role, I have coached and mentored team members, even customers at my cake shop. Coaching has been playing an important role in my life and I hadn’t even noticed.

Since this realisation, I knew I wanted to pursue coaching as my next career. I sought out an internationally recognised coaching certificate, studied both theory and practice and started coaching professionally. I am proud to say I am a Certified Professional Coach and a member of the International Coaching Federation.

Why float in transition, when you could swim to success?

My many experiences in transition mean I’m well placed to coach and guide others on their journeys through change. I’m passionate about helping you find a new purpose or REpurpose. Coaching can help you gain direction.

When you are floating, you give up control, you cannot decide the direction you want to go. We are one step away from drowning. In order to survive, we must learn to swim.

When we are swimming we’re in control. Controlling our bodies to glide through the water. We are in charge, we have self-awareness and we have confidence. Whilst the water is powerful, we are putting in the effort to make the best of our experience.

Coaching helps to give you that control back, so you can take charge of the change and guide yourself to success.
